Anyone broke into the Homeward Bound Pets thrift shop late Friday and stole funds and products, in accordance to Ronnie Vostinak, govt director of the nonprofit, no-destroy shelter application.

It is the 2nd time in a week that a McMinnville charity store has been burglarized. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 1040 S.E. First St., was strike the evening of Nov. 29 or early morning of Nov. 30.

Volstinak explained Homeward Sure staff called police Saturday early morning following noticing the split-in at the retail store, located at 1120 N.E.Lafayette Avenue.

“It truly is just devastating,” Vostinak stated, noting how the theft strike the workers and volunteers. “We are hoping so really hard and now this.”

Televisions, a Coleman lantern and other products have been lacking, together with two bottles of wine that had just been donated. Income was lacking as very well, Vostinak explained.

Video surveillance footage confirmed that anyone bought above a fence behind CarStar, the company that delivers space for the thrift shop, and broke in by eliminating a window in a rear doorway. Just after expending a prolonged period inside the shop, the burglar replaced the window as he still left.

Homeward Sure posted on Fb that the video clip shows a youthful man with dark hair and a slight make sporting a dark jacket above a brown hoodie.

“There’ve been a whole lot of improvements around here today,” Vostinak noting, stating Homeward Sure has responded to the burglary by increasing its safety devices.

The Homeward Sure thrift store raises funds for the no-eliminate adoption shelter. The animal shelter is positioned at 10601 S.E. Loop Road, around the McMinnville Airport.

Homeward Sure also offers a low-cost spay and neuter clinic, found at 723 N.E. Evans St. in McMinnville.
